How to Fit a
Helmet
The most important thing when buying a helmet is that it fits
properly on your head. A well fitting helmet will be comfortable, offer
the maximum protection and performance, and of course it will look
great.
1.
Measuring Tape.
Your helmet size is determined by the circumference of your head and is
measured by wrapping a tape measure around your head, just above your
eyebrows and ears.
2.
Putting on Helmet.
Align the front of the helmet above your eyebrows. Hold both straps and
roll the helmet over the back of your head until the helmet fits well.
3.
Check for Gaps.
Make sure there are no unwanted gaps between the helmet lining and your
head. In addition, make sure the back of the helmet does not touch the
back of your neck.
4.
Roll Test.
With the chin-strap fastened, the helmet should fit snug and
comfortable. Try to roll the helmet off your head. If the skin on your
forehead moves, you have a good fit.
Please note that the producers of helmets all have different ideas on
the shape of a human head. If your helmet does not fit properly it
might be that the shape of the helmet does not fit your particular head
shape. In that case, return it unused and in it’s original packaging and
we will change it or give you your money back.
